Control your child’s consumption of the internet! (free)
Here’s a simple timer that “locks” the screen after 15 minutes (or whatever you choose), just as if you were to press “ctrl-alt-del” to lock your computer. As long as your kids don’t know your password, they can’t get back on the computer until you say it is ok again.
I also use filtering products to prevent the kids from hitting the DANGEROUS sites, but the complex software with multiple users and new permissions wasn’t practical to use in my family. So, I created this to be simple and easy for any adult in my family to use.
It’s been great for forcing my kids to take FAIR, timed, turns playing games, too.
