Install ScreenLocker If you haven’t already downloaded and installed ScreenLocker, do that first.
Open ScreenLocker Click on your Windows START menu, find the shortcut to “ScreenLocker by Russ” and click on it.
Enter Minutes to Wait Enter the number of minutes you want to wait before locking the screen automatically.
Click “Set Timer” Be sure you know your own computer password, and click “Set Timer.” The ScreenLocker will disappear and your kids will now have X minutes before the screen locks and you must log back into the computer. I’d suggest using filtering software of some sort to ensure that your kids don’t go to dangerous sites, too.
It’s simple! After installing, click the “Set Timer” button and 15 minutes later, the screen will lock as if you pressed control-alt-delete to lock the computer. You, the adult, can just log back in.
Installation
First, download the “ScreenLockerInstaller” .Zip file and save it to your computer somewhere. Then, double-click the file and it should open and unzip. Next, double click on it’s “SetupScreenLocker.msi” file. This will start the installation process shown below.
Click next.
Click “Everyone”, and click next.
Say “Yes” to the installation security warning.
Click “Close” and you are ready to set limits on the time your kids can play on the computer.
